We take a limited number of pianos each quarter.

Edelweiss Reborn

Your piano, reborn to bring live music back into your home. Whether you play or not.

Self-play fitted to your piano. Collected, transformed, returned in 15 days. From £15,000.

How it works

Fill your home with live music. Again.

Any brand. Upright or grand.

Precision solenoids operate the keys. Felt hammers strike copper strings. The mechanism is invisible. Only the music is audible.

People who experience this describe it the same way. A room that was silent for years, suddenly alive. Guests who won’t leave. Children who want to know how it works. A home that feels different. Warmer, more like itself.

Self-play from £15,000. Colour and finish price on enquiry.

The piano you walked past for years becomes the reason people don’t want to leave.

"People are completely mesmerised by it. It really does feel like there's a professional pianist in our home playing. We love live music, and this is like having live music in our home."

WHILE WE HAVE YOUR PIANO...

New finish. Same home. Completely different feeling

And then they saw the colours

Most people arrive thinking about the music. Then they see what’s possible with the finish, and something shifts. The piano that stood unchanged for twenty years, suddenly made for the room it’s going back into.

Any shade, any finish. We work with the full Farrow & Ball and Little Greene ranges as a starting point. Bring us a fabric, a paint card, a photograph of the room. We’ll find the colour.

Price on enquiry.

The moment it plays

There’s nothing quite like a real acoustic piano playing itself.

Not a speaker. Not a recording. The keys moving as if played by an invisible pianist.

"We had this beautiful Bechstein sitting in our living room. Nobody was playing it. It was just a piece of furniture doing nothing. Now it brings music alive in the house — and when the grandchildren visit, it inspires them to get involved in music.

Why Edelweiss

Fifty one years. Three generations.
More than two thousand instruments.

This is not a restoration service. It is a transformation, carried out by the people who understand the piano better than anyone.

Questions

Does it work on any piano?

Self-play can be retrofitted to most acoustic pianos — uprights and grands, any brand. We assess each instrument before confirming. If there’s any reason it won’t work, we tell you before you commit.
Nobody in our household plays. Does that matter?
No. That’s precisely what self-play is for. The piano performs whether or not anyone sits at the keys. A library of 1,000 pieces, playable at any moment, from an iPad. The instrument your family never quite got around to playing becomes the one nobody wants to switch off.
Will the retrofit damage the piano?

No. The system is fitted without altering the instrument’s structure or its sound when played by hand. The mechanism sits invisibly within the case. Nothing is removed. Nothing is permanently changed. If you ever wanted it reversed, it can be.

Retrofit slots for this quarter are limited.

No commitment. Just a conversation about your piano.

What happens next

You’ll hear from us within one working day. We’ll ask about your piano — what it is, where it is, and what you’d like to do with it. Send us a photo and we’ll confirm whether it’s suitable and what it involves. No obligation until you’re ready.
