Aurora Transparent

From £100,000 / $127,000

Seen in full, for the first time.

Aurora, with nothing concealed.

Not as a gimmick. As the logical conclusion of what Aurora already is. Patented mechanics, built entirely in Britain, fifty years of restoration knowledge behind every joint and string. The transparent case doesn’t hide that engineering, the way a sealed case always has. It puts it on display. The frame, the strings, the mechanism that lets the piano play with no one seated at it, all visible, all the time.

The case takes its character from the room around it. Pale walls and it recedes into them. Dark surfaces behind it and it holds their colour, catches their light. At night, with the interior lit, the mechanism becomes visible in motion, the keys moving on their own, the sound filling the room from an instrument that appears, briefly, to have no inside at all.

Aurora's full customisation carries through to Transparent. Any colour, any material, any finish on the trim and detailing, built around the transparent case. The complete Farrow & Ball and Little Greene ranges as a starting point. The configurator holds the rest.

A fully acoustic piano that also plays itself.

Felt hammers strike copper strings, the sound fills the room, the keys move as they would under any pianist’s hands. The only difference is that no one is seated there. 1,000 pieces included. Expandable to 5,000. Any piece, any artist, recorded exclusively for your piano on commission.
