Aurora began with a simple ambition: to build the best small grand piano in the world. Not the best for its size. The best.
The brief was clear. Make it a piano serious musicians would genuinely want to play. Give it the depth and richness to compete with instruments significantly larger than itself. Source as much of it as possible from within Britain.
The last proved to be the hardest.

Many of the components required to build a piano of this calibre had not been manufactured in Britain for decades. The industry had moved. Factories had been repurposed. What had once been a thriving domestic trade had become a memory.
Rather than compromise, Edelweiss chose a different path, working to re-establish British sourcing and manufacturing wherever possible, bringing elements of that tradition back home.
Today, Aurora is our flagship British-made piano, handcrafted in Cambridge and available in transparent, timber and bespoke finishes. It represents the highest expression of our approach to piano making, combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary engineering, design and technology.
