With over 70% of the pianos, we build being delivered outside the UK global delivery and installation is something we are very familiar with and aim to make it hassle-free and simple for you.
Whether you ask us to include delivery or choose to arrange it yourself – you will need to consider the following:
Depending on the country you live in will determine how we ship your piano.
(UK/Europe Only)
We only consider this method for any European countries. This method your piano will not need crating.

(Our preferred method)
This is the most costly but quickest and easiest method for shipping your piano overseas. Typically to air freight a piano it takes 2 – 3 days.

(Lowest cost)
This is the lower cost option but is a much longer method and increases the risk of your piano being damaged and potentially held up in transit.

We will need to crate your piano if you choose air or sea freight.
We have specialist craters who will build a custom crate for your piano. To ensure maximum protection they your crate will include:
A moisture resistant non scratch membrane over the whole piano before being placed in the crate
A vacuum sealed bag around your piano once in the crate to keep out any moisture
Depending on the country you live in will depend on what your country will charge you for bringing the piano into the country.
These are charges and taxes you will need to pay.
We only offer delivery including duties and taxes paid delivery to America.
For any piano that is being shipped outside the UK the price we will quote is excluding VAT.
We can assist in finding out what the taxes and duties are for your country but you will need to pay these yourself.
We have a global network of installers that we use and often we will send someone from the Edelweiss team to oversee your delivery as well.
Depending on your property will depend on what is involved in the installation.
Typically, we will always do a home visit before confirming how we will install your piano.
We will then work out an installation plan of how to get your piano into your home which we will share with you.
We may need you to provide videos and images to help us choose the best route/way in.
