For years, Edelweiss pianos quietly inhabited Kelly Wearstler’s interiors—bespoke instruments designed for her interior projects. They were never simply musical accompaniments to the room; they carried presence, anchoring spaces with both visual gravity and acoustic resonance. With every collaboration, the dialogue between designer and atelier deepened until a natural question emerged: what would happen if the instrument itself became the canvas?
The result is Timbra, Kelly Wearstler’s first-ever piano, created in collaboration with Edelweiss, the renowned British atelier celebrated for its bespoke craftsmanship. At the center of the design is Edelweiss’ compact round piano, a contemporary reimagining of the traditional grand. Its circular footprint offered Wearstler a new canvas, opening the possibility to rethink the piano not only as an instrument, but as sculpture.
